Is it Christmas already??
First of all, Christmas is my favorite time of the season. I have always love Christmas since I was little. Maybe because I didn't have a very traditional Christmas but I always remember receiving gifts. That's not the real meaning of Christmas when I got older. Still Christmas is my all time favorite.
As we are still wearing our shorts and t-shirt and trying to keep cool, the stores around me are bring out their Christmas decorations. Wait, did I not see Costco have all their Christmas stuff out at the beginning of September? I just can't see myself getting out the decorations out right after Thanksgiving. And that's is just next week. Yipes!!
Well, this year I don't know what to do with all the people who we usually give out gifts to. Since some of the big stores (Merwyn's, Circuit City, Linen N things, etc) are in bankruptcy courts, Nathan told me to wait on buying gift cards. This is really sad because Christmas is a time for joy and gift giving. And speaking of giving, some of the parents I talk with are really limiting the gift exchange. The reason is the economy - banks are folding and some of the bread winner are laid off. And also with the fires we have having here, some of these people lost their homes.
I hope with Thanksgiving coming up soon, I want to say I am very thankful for my family and with what we have. And may the Christmas time bring the joy we need to our country.
